Jamie Doe - Vocals and Composition

Jamie Doe is a musician, composer and workshop leader based in London. He is best known as a singer-songwriter under the moniker ‘The Magic Lantern’. His second album 'Love of Too Much Living' was released in October 2014 and has been championed by The Guardian, BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction, BBC 6 Music's Lauren Laverne among others.  He also sings in acappella trio 'The Ballina Whalers’ who research and perform traditional nautical ballads and shanties and with whom he has toured extensively through Europe. Jamie is much in demand as a jazz singer and leads the boomtown Swingalings’, specialising in swing music of the 40’s and 50’s.

In addition to performing and composing, Jamie presents a weekly folk and world music radio show 'The Nest Collective Hour' on Resonances 104.4 FM. Jamie is an experienced musical facilitator and workshop leader and has been working for the last five years at the arts charity Innersense, working with adults and children with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
